Gingerbread Balls

Here we are in the midst of the holidays and it is the time to relax into … ginger. And molasses. The two robust and bold flavors not only know how to tango on the tongue, but they also do such a great job at welcoming you into the merriment of the season. Enjoy!


2 cups almonds

1.5 T sorghum molasses 

¾ cup dates

¼ cup maple syrup

1/8 tsp nutmeg

¼ tsp cinnamon

1/8 + ¼ tsp ginger powder

½ cup coconut shred

dash of sea salt

Glitters of Gratitude



  1. Place almonds in food processor along with spices and process until smooth and sticky
  2. Add dates ad molasses and process until is starts rolling into a ball
  3. Empty contents from food processor and either roll into small balls or flatten into ‘cookies’
  4. Decorate with coconut shred
  5. Refrigerate and enjoy!
